OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN

  1. ELIGIBILITY: The Sail Away Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to individuals who: (a) are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia; (b) are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and (c) have a wedding date between May 1, 2003 and October 31, 2004. Employees of WeddingChannel.com, Inc., Discover Financial Services, Inc., and related companies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
  2. SPONSOR: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by WeddingChannel.com, 888 South Figueroa Street, Suite 700, Los Angeles, CA 90017 and Discover Financial Services, Inc., 2500 Lake Cook Road, Riverwoods, IL 60015 ("Sponsors").
  3. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsors, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein in a timely manner.
  4. ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on May 16, 2003 at 12:00:01 p.m. Pacific Time ("PT") on and ends on August 8, 2003 at 12:00:59 p.m. PT (the "Entry Period"). Entries received prior to or after the Entry Period will be disqualified.
  5. ENTRY: To enter the Sweepstakes, visit www.WeddingChannel.com, click on an advertisement for the Sweepstakes, and fill out an online entry form. Once you submit the entry form, you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit of one (1) entry per person. Subsequent entries will be void. Any entries attempted through the use of agencies or robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed, or similar methods will be void.
  6. DRAWING: On or about August 20, 2003, Sponsors will select the name of one (1) potential winner in a random drawing of all entries received. Sponsors' decisions are final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner within ten (10) days of the drawing. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) days after the first attempt to contact him/her, Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from all entries received.
  7. REQUIREMENTS OF THE POTENTIAL WINNER: Except where prohibited, potential winner will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (the "Affidavit/Release") within fourteen (14) days of being notified. If a potential winner fails to sign and return the Affidavit/Release within the required time period, an alternate entrant may be selected in his/her place in a random drawing of all entries received.
  8. PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive a seven day cruise for two (2) to the Caribbean on the Royal Caribbean International ship at sailing date of the winner's choosing (excluding Christmas and New Year's cruises). Prize includes accommodations in a standard ocean view stateroom (Category I), meals aboard the cruise ship, and any port service fees. All expenses and costs not expressly listed above including, but not limited to airfare, ground transportation, US government departure fees and taxes, alcoholic beverages on the cruise ship, a la carte dining fees, shore excursions, telephone calls, souvenirs, gratuities, and taxes are solely the winner's responsibility. The winner's guest may be required to sign a liability/publicity release before travel. The trip must be completed by December 1, 2004 and the final ship selection, date selection and cabin assignment is subject to availability and blackout dates. Winner and guest must travel together and are responsible for obtaining necessary travel documents. Vacation arrangements must be made through the Cruise and Vacation Desk at least 90 days in advance of travel. Prize is nontransferable and non-refundable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by Sponsors, who reserve the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Trip may not be combined with any other offer. Approximate Retail Value: up to $4,000, depending on the specific cruise.
  9. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, computer virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. In such event, Sponsors reserve the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors' failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
  10. RELEASE: By receipt of a prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsors and their officers, directors, employees and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize.
  11. PRIVACY: All information submitted by entrants as part of this Sweepstakes will be treated in accordance with Sponsors' Privacy Policies, which are accessible from www.WeddingChannel.com and www.DiscoverCard.com.
  12. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants or printing errors; (b) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Sweepstakes; (c) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software; (d) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (e) lost, delayed, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; or (f) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of any prize.
  13. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of California; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering a Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant's rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than State of California.
  14. SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS AND OFFICIAL RULES: You can obtain Sweepstakes results and a copy of these Official Rules by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Sail Away Sweepstakes, c/o WeddingChannel.com, 888 South Figueroa St., Suite 700, Los Angeles, CA 90017. All requests must be received by September 30, 2003. Vermont residents may omit return postage for Official Rules requests.
